Vuurr

“Working with Forty helped us build a distinctive marketing strategy that spoke to our personality and style with ease.”

The problem

A few digital marketing powerhouses decided to join forces and create an SEO, PPC management, and development shop called Vuurr. They already had a strong culture, but they needed help communicating that through their branding and creating a more robust website to support their credibility.

The solution

Creating branding fit for bad boys
The guys at Vuurr have a distinct personality—direct, in-your-face, and super confident (backed up by an obscene amount of knowledge about all things digital/tech). They’re bad boys on the surface, but deep down, they’re the good guys that you’d bring home to mom. Their work also has similarities to military operations because they’re brought in to help rescue companies from their dreary digital mess and destroy their competitors.

Using these ideas, we started developing their branding. We incorporated lots of blacks, greys, and military-inspired patterns to reinforce their intensity, along with a burst of pink to contrast with the dark colors and show off their soft side. This dichotomy extended into Vuurr’s messaging, using an assertive voice and tongue-in-cheek humor.

Overhauling the website
Next, we got to work on redesigning Vuurr’s website using their new branding. They had a one-page placeholder site, but the guys started realizing it didn’t convey what they could do or convince people to hire them. They wanted their new site to be more robust, feature more information about their work, and show that they’re confident but don’t take themselves too seriously. We designed an eye-catching site with tons of insight into who they are, what they do, and proof that these are the guys you want on your team. Our team also planned and directed the photo shoot to make sure the pictures captured our vision.
