“I'm a sponge. I love living vicariously through the people I meet and learning all about their job, industry, and interests.”
I was a long-time Forty friend and fan before officially joining the team as a Design Strategist. I grew up as a classically-trained musician and have held just about every kind of design position – from being an in-house designer for a non-profit organization, to an art director for a multibillion dollar company, to freelancing for small businesses. Now, I’m excited to work in an agency environment with a team I’ve known and respected for years.
I love working at Forty because we push the envelope and aren’t afraid to ask questions. I’ve always wanted to work for a company that doesn’t just play it safe and feels work is more than a 9-5 paycheck. I always felt a little weird for being so passionate and excited about design, but now, I’m in good company! My favorite experiences are the opportunities to build relationships (and even friendships) with clients and learning new ways of doing things from my fellow designers.
My love of design extends far beyond work. I serve as the President for AIGA Arizona (the professional design association), I’m a featured contributor for Under Consideration’s Quipsologies blog (check it out!), and an active member of the Phoenix design community.
When I’m not designing the day away, I love going to the movies and playing video games with my husband, hanging out with my dog, and combing through over 100 design and technology blogs almost daily.
